Acceptable use
Updated 29 September 2026Acceptable use policy
Scope
This policy forms part of the terms of service. It applies to the following.
- The website at unfckd.dev
- The Unfckd dashboard, once it launches
- Any other service we host
It does not apply to unfckd-lite running on your own hardware. That software is yours to use under GPL-3.0, and we neither can nor wish to police it.
Do not attack the infrastructure
- No denial of service or distributed denial of service attempts
- No attempts to gain access to accounts, servers, or data you have no right to
- No probing for vulnerabilities outside the terms of our security policy
- No interference with anyone else's use of the service
- No circumventing rate limits, access controls, or bot protection
Do not abuse automated access
You may crawl the site politely. You may not hammer it. If your automated traffic degrades the service for other people, we will block it. Cache what you fetch, obey the robots file, and identify your agent honestly.
Do not misrepresent who you are
- Do not present yourself as us, or as speaking for the project
- Do not imply we endorse, sponsor, or built your project when we did not
- Do not use the Unfckd name or logo to brand a fork in a way that suggests it is the official one
Describing your fork accurately is fine and expected. GPL-3.0 gives you the right to fork, and we want you to exercise it. The restriction here is about trade mark and honesty, not about code.
Do not use our services to break the law
Do not use anything we host to distribute malware, to attack third parties, to infringe copyright, to harass anyone, or to commit any other offence under Dutch or EU law.
When the dashboard launches
- One account per person unless we agree otherwise in writing
- Do not share credentials, and keep your own secure
- Do not upload scan data for servers you have no authority over
- Do not upload personal data about your players beyond what a scan legitimately needs
- Do not resell access to the dashboard without our agreement
What happens if you break this policy
We may block your access, rate limit you, or remove content, and we may do it without notice where the problem is urgent. Where it is not urgent we will normally get in touch first. Serious cases may go to the relevant authorities.
Losing access to our hosted services never takes away your GPL-3.0 rights over unfckd-lite. You keep the software and the licence regardless.
Reporting a problem
Report abuse to abuse@unfckd.dev. Report security vulnerabilities through the security policy instead, because that route is set up to handle them responsibly.
